Stressed Out? Hypnosis Can Help
Are you feeling anxious, a lack of motivation or overwhelmed? Do you have chonic health issues such as headaches, muscle tension or chronic fatigue? Stress may be the problem that is limiting your ability to focus or even function.
Stress and Your Health
Whether you are a business owner or a homemaker, stress gets to all of us. Every day I hear someone tell me that their boss expects too much, that keeping up with the kid’s schedules, making dinner and getting the housework done has them at their mental limit, and of course the big one...I don’t know how to make ends meet. Stress can be caused by as many different reasons as there are people. But the results are the same, a feeling of helplessness or loss of control, a decrease in productivity and a host of mental and physical problems. Many studies have reported that stress contributes to high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes. It also contributes to chronic headaches, irritability and insomnia. Many people deal with these problems on a daily basis, learning to “just live with it”, not knowing the harm they are doing to themselves.
Physical Effects of Stress
Over time stress takes its toll leading to chronic health issues and ultimately changes your behavior. Stress can lead to anger issues, overeating, addictions and social withdrawal. The longer stress is left to fester, the more damage it does to your body and your mind.
You Don’t Have to Live With Stress
Fortunately, we don’t have to live with stress. Hypnosis and associated meditation practices can help us get rid of stress and the effects it has on us mentally and physically. “Hypnosis has come to be recognized as a potent antianxiety intervention which can be incorporated into a wide variety of psychotherapeutic models. It can play an important role in facilitating treatment of anxiety states.”
Prior to becoming a hypnotist, I worked in several high stress industries including commercial airlines and professional sports. Meeting extraordinary demands for performance, schedules and perfection was my life for forty years. It was hypnosis and meditation that brought me both relief and into this field of work. I have lived it, and helping people find relief from stress is a particular passion for me.
